Apple Apple StyleWriter Pro

pro 630

The apple pro 630 has been work horse for me, still like to use it but it seems to have the toner light and jam light and ready light stuck before powering after a shut down. It takes several times unplugging and restarting before it resets.

Which repair kit should I get and is there a power supply problem that's failing?

Thanks Jerry N
That wouldn't be anything we have a kit for. I'd suspect a formatter board problem. When it does it, try an engine test. See troubleshooting pages for location.

I think it is in the jam light mode now but is your kit for that problem available? is that the kit I need to try when the jam light is on and no paper is jammed?

Don't try and read anything into the diagnosis because you have the jam light on. If there are other lights on, it points at the formatter board as the cause. We still don't have a kit for your problem.

I have been on a biz trip for 2 weeks. The green ready light is on and the jam light is also do you think is worth a try to repair with your kit?. And there are no other lights on you mentioned a formatter board. But it is just the green ready light and jam light. Also Where in tech notes do I find the engine test info? You are a great help thanks.
