print quality - LW pro 630

I have changed the toner cartridge in my Laserwriter pro 630. The blacks aren't printing black enough. Any suggestions?

The only way to get real good blacks is to find a quality remanufacturer who uses "hot" aftermarket drums and graphics toner in their rebuilding processes. I would say about 2\% might qualify and that's probably an overly generous estimate.

Thanks, I was afraid of that. Do you guys handle them? I seem to recall that you'll be doing that soon. Is that true?

Unfortunately, we lost our head cartridge person. We were trying out some of the mass produced cartridges that are wholesaled. They all lie and tell you how good they are! Very, very unhappy with the quality. No way we could put our good name on them. The whole remanufactured cartridge industry is just sooooo bad. Almost every cartridge we ever produced was better than the OEMs. That's how a remanufactured cartridge should be. Trouble is everyone wants to make them as cheap as possible and make as much as they can. Damn the consumer and take their money! We won't use any OEM cartridges in our office equipt because of the horrible graphics and black output.
We still maintain a small high quality output for select local customers and of course ourselves.

I only need 1. Could I be a select customer?

Sure our address is on our contact page. It was 84 degrees and sunny today here in Redondo Beach.
Just in case you're on the east coast and needing a vacation. We don't ship cartridges.

I'm in Minnesota - which is far enough east to be a problem if you won't ship it. Maybe next time.
