Hp HP LaserJet 1200

HP Laserjet 1200 print settings

I have acquired the above printer recently and require to modify the print settings Density from 3 to 5 Fonts from 10 to 17 points.

I require the Device Configuration utility which I am informed from the HP sites comes with the CD provided with the printer.

Perhaps the cd is corrupt because when I download it to my hard drive [Dell Optiplex GX280 on XP] I note that (a) in the programs listed in the Computer there is shown HP Laserjet 1200 but no MB against it to indicate 'download' (b) Under Tools a program shown as Uninstall and no Device Configuration utility.

I had some 'blips' when downloading this CD and wonder if this indicates that it is a corrupt disc. Is there any place I can acquire another CD or the Device Configuration utility?

I intend to use this printer in programs in DOS 6.2 viz Foxbase and the printer is posting the reports in 10 point while it should be in 17!

The previous machine I had was an HP lllp Laser and this automatically posted the Foxbase reports in 17 point.. I also use Wordstar and in this case can set the print size within the documents generated in the program.
Is there ANYONE on this site who has used an HP 1200 LaserJet printer and modified the factory print settings?
