Canon Pixma MP600 PGBK test pattern issue

I have deep cleaned my Pixma MP600 print head and have removed the print head and cleaned the PGBK slot with rubbing alcohol on a q-tip and compressed air.
The top half of the PGBK test pattern remains fine. However exactly every other column of the lower half of the PGBK test pattern is still missing horizontal lines. Any ideas what is causing this and the simplest/cheapest way to correct it? Thanks.
I have a similar issue so figured I'd bump the thread. I have performed every clean/deep clean/maintenance/alignment processes I can find and replaced the ink catridge but my PGBK won't output AT ALL. Any ideas?
