Apple Laser writer Pro 630 no communication

I have just fited the roller repair kit to my Laser writer pro, and it worked fine for several weeks. However recently it stoped printing. I switched it off and on again to reset everything. the normal LEDs flashed for a minuet, then the ready light came on. When I tried to print the LEDs did not flash to indicate that the data was being sent. I have no idea what may be wrong. Any help will be much apreciated.
Thanks Andrew
Been a long time since I worked on one. Try the engine test by sticking something in this hole. http://www.fixyourownprinter.com/reference/guides/engine/ex
A lined test page should print. There is also a small selector in the rear numbered 0-9. I believe it should be set at 0. If you power the printer off and set it to 4, it should print a config page when you power it on. It's been a long time, but I'm pretty sure it's 4. Don't forget to set it back.

The engine test works and the test page works also with switch position 4. However it seems to not be accepting any print jobs sent to it.

If those 2 tests work OK, then I would be hard pressed to blame the printer. It's possible that button got pushed and it changed the input so it doesn't see the computer. The config sheet should show what each number does. Otherwise, I would blame the computer/driver, cable or anything but the printer. 99.9\% of the time when people bring in a printer complaining about no communications, I'll plug it in and it will work fine with our computer and cable.
