HP LaserJet 4+ MP Tray feeding error

I have a HP LaserJet 4+ that from the MP tray will feed just fine for 4-6 pages, then it starts malfunctioning. The malfunction is that before the current page feeding even clears the tray, it tries to pick up another page, just cycling the pickup until it succeeds in picking up another, which of course causes a paper jam. It isn't that the separation pad needs replacing--that's been done multiple times. It is more like the sensor quits working. Any suggestions?
Malfunction is a sticking paper pickup solenoid. The 41.3 error kit sold on this site addresses the problem. It will also fix the lower cassette tray that will probably develop the same problem given the age of the printer.

I see this comes with a CD with instructions. If I order several is it cheaper (and possible) to order with only one CD? - unknown
