I am getting a light grey vertical line approximately 3/16" wide slightly right of center on my print-outs from the HP4+. There is a corresponding "band" of toner around the drum. Looking from the top of the cartridge, I can see also see the band of toner on a grey rubber? roller that fits against the green drum. Cleaning the band of toner from the drum does not help as it reappears on the next print. The drum does look worn in some places though the cartridge still seems to have toner left in it. Wanted to check here before ordering a new toner cartridge to see if the problem was something other than the toner cartridge. Any help appreciated.
It is a toner cartridge issue. The drum wiper blade has failed. If the cartridge is on the full side, then it would be more cost effective to just replace the blade, which involves 4 screws. Click on my name if you want to order a blade.
