Paper wrinkled at bottom, HP LaserJet IIp+
My old HP Laserjet IIp+ has recently taken to curving (wrinkling) the paper, only the last 1" or less at the bottom of the sheet, and it's not jamming or accordioning. There is a pair of "dots" also impressed into the wrinkled area of the paper, looks like rivet heads maybe?
The threads I saw on this forum referred to Laserjet 4 printers... same engine and same kit to fix?
thanks
Charles

Open the front. Squeeze the foam rollers at the top of the door. They should be on the firm side. If they feel squishy http://www.fixyourownprinter.com/kits/hp/K6
I'm not sure how squishy or firm they're supposed to be, never having felt a new one before... But (as it says on the K6 kit page) if the paper comes out the front normally, those rollers are the trouble.
I just tried a test page from the front opening and it came out without the bottom wrinkle. Kit on order.. thanks :)
