Epson Epson Stylus Photo 1400

Epson Stylus 1400 bad yellow print head

What would be the best way to clean the print heads if the head cleaning isn't fixing the issue of not printing a specific color?
I have a epson 1390 they are the same with similar parts and similar problems. these printers are very very problematic. Mine use to have that problem before it packed up and I got a useful tip on U-tube. I cant remember the site but search for something like "how to clean epson 1390 print head using a rubber tube". My current problem is that the red button lights when it is initiating. I have changed the main board, The cartridge chip and the ink pump but the red light still shows up at start up. I am now thinking of changing the print head because Someone suggested that the red light at start up could be a symptom for a damaged printhead. Do someone think this will solve the problem? Thank you

ajbarry3... You may consider purchasing the printhead cleaning solution from this site. Hope this helps.

kaligrafix.. Could be a problem not related to the printhead. What does the status monitor on your computer report as a problem? Does it say hardware error? Hope this helps.
