HP 8600 Pro Plus prints faded red

My HP 8600 Pro Plus prints faded red. Just got the printer and it is using the original starter cartridges. I'm printing logos on labels and they are not coming out bright red. My other inkjet printer prints fine from the same file.
I found that most of the HP cartridges that come with new printers are not full cartridges and go empty fairly quick. Check the levels on the cartridge to see if it is low as this can cause light print at times.
If level is good then run a head cleaning cycle - may take several times if printer sat for any length of time without printing and you will probably get a message to replace the print head if print is not acceptable. Since the red is only light then the ink flow is off and more than likely the print head is fine. I just had one that sat for about 2 months and had to run the cleaning cycle about 7 or 8 times to get print to clear up - got the message to replace print head several times but print head is fine.
You may need to get a new replacement cartridge(s) before you run the cleaning cycle so that if you have to run it more than once you don't run out of ink.

Thank you. Printer is brand new and the ink is still full. Printed the faded red since day 1
