HP4 fan
I am in need of another fan for an HP4. Does anyone know where I can get one? I bought one from Moe a few years ago but this one is now making lots of noise. I figure I better get another one before it lets go.
Thanks

Joe I am sure Moe still has some more. One thing you can do that I have done many times is to lube the fan. Remove the fan and carefully peel back the label on the fan which will expose the shaft area. Place one or two drops of synthetic oil, turn the blade a couple of times and place the label back over and put everything back and turn on the printer and odds are the fan will no longer makes lots of noise.
That sounds like a good idea. I can imagine that it will be a temporary fix though. How long did it last with yours? - JoeP
It is not temporary. The shaft get dried out and lubing the shaft restores full function.
I dropped a couple of drops of Tri-flow lubricant onto the shaft. It is better but I can still hear it. I think I will wait a little bit and see how it goes. I would still like to get a spare fan though. Moe do you have any?
I only have used ones. I can do a noise check on one if you are interested.
That sounds good. (pun intended)
Let me know what you find
