HP4L printer jam fixed

When the paper jams on the top left-hand corner out of the paper tray, I have found that it is the toner cartridge. I had been buying them refilled. I notice they are a little hard to fit down where they need to be placed. After I paid $125 for an HP4L that had only been used enough to use up one toner cartridge, and it jammed the first page, I thought it had to be something else than the sticky on the solenoid. I ordered an original (unrefilled) HP4L cartridge. Sure enough, it works without jamming. Another HP4L I had purchased that jammed also now works fine with the REAL toner cartridge, however, it does jam when I have less than 15 sheets of paper in the paper tray. Now I have my original HP4L which I took apart and put felt on the first solenoid and it jammed. Maybe the felt came off or maybe I was down to less than 15 sheets of paper in the tray, or maybe using those refilled toners that didn't slide easily into place has ruined something. I'm going to have to check that out.
