singing/ringing Toner cartridges

My LJ-4050 has a toner cartridge that emitted a high pitched continuous but wavering in amplitude tone. HP Product near the end of it's life.

Recently acquired a compatible cartridge for a LJ-1320 that also sings and a LJ-p3005 compatible that issues 4 dings a second, sounding like a railroad crossing warning bell. Kinda funny. These are NEW

Wondered if anyone found this to be common. Cheap bearings in the compatibles??

Thanks for any comments.
High pitched noises like you describe, emanate from a worn drum wiper blade. Think dry squeegee against a window glass for a comparison.
Haven't heard the dinging sound before. There aren't any bearings in toner cartridges. A good rebuilder will replace the drum wiper blades as a matter of course. The bad ones just pour new toner in them and hope for the best.
