HP LJ2100 Dirty pages

I have a couple of LJ 2100 and one LJ2200 and they seem to have the same ailment, pages gets dirty after a short while. It seems related to the temperature of the printer. The first page after a several hours pause is fine then it gets dirtier and dirtier with each page that I print. Any ideas?
When the symptom starts showing itself, put a page in the manual feed and let it feed from there. When the back end of the page enters the printer, quickly open the lid and take out the cartridge. If the page in the printer is dirty, then it's a bad toner cartridge. If it's not, then you have to replace the fuser assembly.
