Hp HP Color LaserJet 2840

HP LaserJet 2840 not printing correctly

I have a HP laserjet 2840 that is printing weird

if you print Mono it will print perfect but when you printing colour it will print a few pages fine then start loosing the image till it prints a blank page. Then after a blank page it starts printing again but it printed page is all over the page and not where it should be

I have replaced the transfer roller and the imaging drum already
Your selenoid that controls the movement of the carousel is probably sticking. You have to remove the side covers and the top cover. On the right side at the top near the laser/scanner is the selenoid. You have to remove the formatter, one motor and the frame on the right side and then remove the selenoid. If you disconnect the wire from the dc controller you can lift it out part way and then you can clean off the "L" arm and the base of the residue that was used to dampen the noise. You will have to put some material back down where you removed the pad and glue. Reassemble and the printer should work fine.
