Apple Apple StyleWriter II

Using an Apple II NTX in windows?

A friend has an old Apple II NTX laser and has now got rid of his Mac.
I noticed this printer uses the Canon SX engine - is it possible to use an equivalent Canon/HP driver to use this printer in Windows? (LJ II?)

Cheers in advance and compliments on a greatly useful forum.

There is a Apple IINTX driver in windows 98 so I would assume that you can use this printer with Windows 98 or other version of windows that have this driver or compatible driver.
I think it's a postscript printer so you might also could use another Apple printer driver found in windows.

I always try and discourage people who try this. First thing you'll need to do is get a null modem serial cable. There is a row of dip switches at the back of the formatter board. You flip 1 and 2 down for PC. You can use any postscript driver. You'll now have an extremely sloooow laser printer that prints at 300dpi.
