Dots for Mac

I want to connect my Panasonic KXP1124i 24 pin dot matrix printer to my iMac DV SE, so I can have inexpensive printing of copious text which does not require pollish or good looks. I assume I need a driver (perhaps generic or universal) ported for Mac OS 9, and a USB to parallel converter.
1. Is there such a driver available?
2. Is there any kit or instructions for making my own USB to parallel converter?
Thank you, Roy
Macs don't have any parallel in/out. They are all serial devices. I seriously doubt that you'd be able to do it. In any case it would involve an enormous amount of time and in the end it probably wouldn't work. Give the idea up.
