HP LaserJet 1100

I have an HP 1100 laserJet that intermittantly jams between the fuser and pressure roller. The pressure roller has three stripes of what appears to be caked on toner. Each end has a narrow stripe of 1/4 in. The center of the pressure roller has a stripe about 1 1/2 in wide.(the stripes are black) Do I need to replace the fuser assembly? Is there something I can use to clean the pressure roller?
What you are describing wouldn't cause a jam. The paper could adhere to the toner and wrap around the pressure roller, but it wouldn't stop because of it. When the paper jams, look and see if it is pushing down on the paper sensor arm that's located in the center of the fuser where the paper exits. That would be the more likely cause of it jamming.
