Hp HP Color LaserJet 2840

HP 2840

I resently had to realign the carousel on a 2840 now it doesn't see the toner cartridges checked all the connections on the formater and the wires in the carousel still gives ? for all toner I know these are full as some where new before I started. Any suggesetions would be appreciated
2 ways of realigning it. The easy way and the HP way. Easy way, you don't disassemble anything. It's hard to diagnose something like this, because we have no idea what you tore apart in the process.

I have a HP2840 and have a problem similar to this, I believe. When I print black and white I get tiny black and red dots spaced down the center of the page. When I print color the lower 1/3 right
edge of paper prints the color light. My tech guy thinks it may be that the mirrors are dirty. He hasn't had time to check it out. He has a HP 2840 and my son has one, and they have had no problems.

First thing you need to replace is the clueless tech guy. I'd try a different imaging unit first. Since your son has one, borrow his to try since they're kind of expensive. - moe
I have fixed my problem by replacing the printer. The problem you seem to be having maybe related to bad toner cartridges as I had a similar problem on a different 2840 and we fixed it by replacing all of the cartridges.
