HP Laserjet 1200 - Multiple pages jamming printer

I have a problem with my laserjet 1200 pulling in two sheets and creating a jam. The first sheet of paper is picked up and stsrts to print normally. About halfway through printing it cycles again and picks up another sheet of paper and sends it into the printer causing a jam. I have to remove the toner cartridge and pull out the top sheet which has printed properly and then the second sheet is pulled out the bottom of the printer. Any help would be appreciated :-)
Paper release solenoid is sticking, allowing roller to continue turning.

Thanks Moe, Can you tell me how to get to the paper release solenoid to check it's operation?

Remove the right side cover and the selenoid is located below the fan towards the front of the printer. What you need to do is to remove the tiny spring that holds the "L" arm, remove the "L" arm and clean up any glue residue on that arm. You can put a small piece of electrical tape on the inside of the "L" arm to make sure it is not sticky. Reassemble.

Thank You, this worked for me also, I cleaned the glue and put a few cut layers of electrical tape, just enough so the metal plate doesn't touch the magnet, but not so much that it restricts the gear from releasing from the notch.
