P3005dn - grinding gears??

I have a HP printer that when prompted to print has a few grinding sounds - and periodically jams while going to the fusing roller section. I have taken the unit apert as far as necessary to problem solve but found no noticable problem.
any ideas or suggestions why or where this grinding is coming from?? Hate to just scrap it
2 things cause it. Worn gears that drive the fuser. Worn fuser bushing on the lower pressure roller. Most gears I've replaced show no signs of wear, but they still make the grinding sound. We have a kit that includes all that and an instructional video. http://www.fixyourownprinter.com/kits/hp/K99>
