Canon Canon Pixma IP3000

Canon iP3000 prints graphics but not text.

I've been printing on some discs with my iP3000, printing all colors and black just fine.

Today I was going to print some business cards and the printer will not print any text, just the graphics.

When I do a nozzle check, all the color and grey/black bars with the 6C, 6M and 6Y between grey/black bars prints, but none of the nozzle check patterns will print.

Printing graphics onto discs still works fine, so does printing graphics onto regular paper, but if it's printing text from anything, notepad, wordpad, Avery LabelPro, it will not print the text.
The black portion of the printhead is probably clogged. Try a cleaning process from the printer driver, or remove and soak the printhead jets in hot water. Reinstall once it's completely dried.
