Hp HP LaserJet 2420DN

HP LaserJet 2420dn blank display

I recently replaced a fuser in an HP LaserJet 2420dn printer for my client. Before I took the printer I put a loaner in it's place and removed the memory modules to install in the loaner. I did not power up the printer I was to repair after removing the memory or before servicing the printer, so I don't know if that was the cause.

Anyway, after replacing the fuser, I powered up the printer to test. The motor ran for a few seconds as normal, but my display was blank and the 3 LED's were lit. The display backlight is illuminated, but no status is displayed.

Any idea what could be going on? Must there be at least one memory module installed? Please advise.
You say modules. Well try swapping the slots that they are in. I could be wrong but I think one of the chips has the firmware along with the 64 meg of ram needed for that model. Generally 3 lights on solid and blank display is a formatter issue.
