50 Error LJII

I had a 50 error on my LJ series II. The fuser reads 2 ohms on the right side and 1.2megs on the other, so I believe the fuser is OK.

How do you replace the AC unit? I took the plastic shell case off but if the AC unit is where I think it is (on the right side near the power switch), it looks like quite a job to replace it. Any ideas?

What's the cost of the LJII AC power block - is this an OEM or rebuilt unit and/or exchange? Thanks.

Charlie
It's not that hard, ozone filter (2 screws), fan (3 screws), fuser assy (4 screws), power module (4 screws). AC power module is $49 + $20 refundable core charge. Module is one that we rebuild to higher than OEM specs. They don't go bad (for at least 5 years or so). We found the only way to get the quality we desire is to rebuild everything in house. That includes toner cartridges.

Thanks for the quick reply...for some reason, when I put back the fuser, the error seems to have disappeared. Do you think it will return? What's the cause of the intermittent 50 errors?

Just for my info, does the AC power module get replaced from the top of the printer - and is the procedure covered on your videotape? Thanks!

The 50 error is intermittent in the beginning. Sometimes it will go away for a few days. It'll be back. The power supply comes with a video.
