HP Laserjet 4 smells when it turns on

My HP laserjet 4 works fine, but it just recently started making a rather bad/noticeable smell when you turn it on. It isn't smoking or anything real obvious like that, but there is a definite bad smell coming from it. I briefly looked inside to see if I could see anything obviously melting or anything, but couldn't. Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Mark
Only 2 places it could come from. You're the only one who can isolate it. Remove the right side panel. There's a latch at the top front and rear of the panel. Press both and it will pivot off. When you experience the smell, put the old sniffer down in the bottom right corner, where the rectangular metal box is. If you don't smell it there, then open the back door and do the sniff check on the fuser assy. at the bottom. It's hot, so don't get your nose too close.
