LaserWriter II NTX 2 blinking lights

I have the infamous two red blinking lights on my LW II NTX and I have tried everything I know (gleaned from this site). It was working perfectly, then one day it started acting up and pretty soon all it does is blink at me. :(

I purchased a second fuser and tested both in a good LaserJet at work. Both tested good and neither fixed the problem in my LW.

Next I purchased a DC Power Supply off of eBay. I installed it with no change in the printers actions. I can not swap this with the printer at work because it is much too involved. Is there a way to test the DC Power Supply (multimeter)?

What is my next step? I don't want to sink a lot of money in this beast, but if I can resolder something or rig something up I would be happy.

Thanx for any and all help!
I don't know where you got the idea that the DC power supply had anything to do with it, certainly not on this site. It's the ac power module that causes the problem 90\% of the time.

Ummm....ok. I must have gotten confused. Do you think an AC power supply would fix my problem? Is there any way to manually test the AC power supply?

Thanx for all the help!

BWT: Moe, I really like the new look of the site! It is much more clean and easy to navigate.

Try the door interlock bypass and see if the fuser lights up at all. If it does, it's a bad ac power supply. Our webmaster labored mightily on the new site for a month straight. He deserves all the credit. Don't know what I'd do without him. I think we'll stay with this look for awhile. We'll be adding more troubleshooting aids to the site, although hardly anyone seems to use them.
