HP 4 paper sensor issue

I just replaced the fuser roller on my HP 4-it now prints beatifully. Earlier I had installed a new roller kit and eliminated paper jams. But now, the paper comes out about half way and stops and the printer indicates a jam. My paper end sensor doesn't appear to be be broken; any ideas?
If the end isn't accordioning, then it has to be a sensor issue. The peg that it rides on snaps. You can see the location of it in this photo
You can see the peg better if you take out the fuser. Pull down the spring loaded part and look at the sensor arm. Now pivot the top part of it back and forth and watch to the left of it and you can see if the peg is broken or not.
