HP IIIP BARELY PRINTS AN IMAGE

To whom it may concern:

I have an HP IIIP.
It had been working fine, but recently the printed image started fading. I thought it was the cartridge, so I replaced it with a new HP 75A. The print is still barely visible if at all.

Any suggestions for a repair?

Thanks.

Moe,
Thanks for the reply.
I assume you mean I need the high voltage supply.
Does it ship with install instructions?

If your feeling up for the job i would try removing the scanner assembly and cleaning the mirrors first.

That would be a total waste of time. In 20 years, I've never had to clean those mirrors in that model. - moe
Moe just because u havent seen it doesent mean it dosnt happen! I fixed one in a barley processing plant and it worked 100\% after! Stripped down to the scanner, cleaned the motor, mirrors and lenses and it printed as good as new after. I'll admit that its rare but at least it would be free to try before splashing out on a high voltage ps. But feel free to HOOK HIM UP with one.
Id opt for a new printer mate, i loved the 2p/3p but they are just too slow!!
