Epson Epson Stylus Color 440

epson color stylus 440 kinda not printing

it has got the ink, power supply, working drivers and LPT connection. but it doesn't print. well, nearly - the best it has done so far was printing 2 yellow and 1 blue line of a test page. and after that, even not that much.
i've done head cleanings and nozzle check many times over and still without a result. well with 1 result if you count dumping mucho ink at the cleaning area as one. can't get it to dump none on the paper though.
so any idea what might the problem be?
thanks in advance
Buy this http://www.fixyourownprinter.com/kits/epson/K70 But first put some water on the pad in the black rectangle. It is where the print head parks. Then run a cleaning cycle and check to see if the water is gone. If the water is still there then the pump is bad. If it is gone then the print head is clogged.

There is a chance that some paper dust has built up on the face of the print head. Read here on how to clean that. http://inkjetprinterhelp.us/phface.html
