Canon BJC-600 Ink Tank Full Error

I am getting an Ink Tank Full Error on my Canon BJC-600 printer. Can anyone tell me how I can empty this tank.
Perform the following reset procedure:
Hold down the PRINT MODE, FF, and POWER buttons and plug the power cord in. After clearing the waste ink counter, the printer is reset and enters the normal mode.

To clean the ink tank you need to remove the shell of the printer. It is in two pieces and you need to find the plastic clips that hold the case together. Remove the mechanical mechanism, held by screws. This gives access to the ink tank which is a long black plastic container and contains ink absorbent pads. They are easy to wash and clean. I dried them in the microwave. The reset buttons describe above definitely works. This is agreat web site but difficult to find!
