Canon Canon Pixma MP750

Canon MP750 'waste ink full' message - help!

Can anyone talk me through how to fix this? I understand there are codes you can put into the printer to get it going again, but I'm pretty 'green' about techy things, so please be gentle with me!

Please help - I don't want to chuck the thing out, as it usually works fine.

Resetting Canon MP750 and MP780 procedure/code for Waste Ink Full, Follow this step to fix it:

Service Menu


Cycle through options to #7 PRINTER, Press OK

Cycle through options to #5 (Ink Abs Cap) Press OK

Thanks for the try, but I can't see any 'service menu' on my machine.

The only Menu is for 1 Special copy - 2 options, 2 Maintenance - 8 options, none of which are any on the ones you mentioned, 3 - 6 options, ditto.

Are you quoting for the same model - Canon Pixma MP750?

I've managed to get it to copy now, by pressing 'ok' when the 'waste ink full' message comes up.

But now the computer won't recognise the printer is on, so I can't print out a m/s doc ('computer says NO'!, or rather 'printer offline') nor scan anything. Why is that?

Anyone out there who can help a technophobe?
