Epson Epson Stylus Photo 900

Epson Stylus 900

Does anyone have an idea as to what is causing my
printer to power down after it completes its initialization
routine? I have to unplug the input power, wait
a couple of minutes, plug the power back in, turn
the printer on, and then it repeats its initialization and
powers down. There are no error lights.

PS... new print cartridges installed and printer ran printhead
priming/cleaning routine and then powered down.

I would appreciate it if you would take it a shot at the problem.
Mine is doing this too...it was working for about half-an-hour after being in storage for a couple of months, which was just enough time to tell me that I needed to replace both ink cartridges. Any ideas?

The power supply is failing. During start up the printer pulls a lot more power from the power supply and if the power supply had a weak/bad component there will be dip in the power and the printer will lose power and cut off.

Is there any way to quickly fix or bypass this to print out something? I only need it for one thing, and then I'm willing to resign to defeat. - unknown
No. Not unless you can fix/rebuild the power dupply. You can try to find a parts printer on eBay.
