Epson Epson Stylus Color 1520

Epson 1520 needs some type of reset

When I power on my Epson 1520, after the printheads move around a bit, the Operate (green) light blinks, the reset (yellow) light blinks and the paper out (red) light blinks. No other lights are on. None of the reset key combinations that I've tried from other threads seem to work. Of course, it doesn't print anything.

Any help is appreciated.

Is this machine new to you or have you used it successfully in the past and now it is malfunctioning? - Scotty

Have you checked the position of the paper select lever?

I've owned it for four years and have used it succesfully.

This sounds like a jam of some kind. It could be paper or debris, a component out of position, or lack of lubrication. I suggest, with the power off, trying to move the printhead carriage to the center of the printer and then turning the printer on. Most times this will reset any misset levers, etc. at the printheads 'home' position. See if that helps. - Scotty
