Epson Epson LQ 800

Epson Stylus Photo 800 (Stops printer halfway)

I have an Epson Stylus Photo 800 which prints the first page fine, then just stops half way through the next.
Doe's anyone know what might be the cause?

Windows XP Home SP3, Fresh install of OS and drivers just incase. No change.. It is a printer fault? Tried in on a friends system and it worked fine.

Any thoughts?
Spooling or memory error on your PC.

Thank you for your reply.
If it is one of those, how does one go about solving it?

Dear Mr. Craig,
Which port is using in your pc to connect the printer? suppose to be connect the LPT , please change the port mode in BIOS setup. I mean go to the adavanced setup and change the LPT Mode as ECP or try to change other modes. If you are trying to conect the printer through the USB , let me know . I will give you another solution for that.

Best Of luck !

I am sorry I should have mentioned.

The printer is connected via USB.
The computer is a Dell Laptop running windows XP Home SP3.
Celeron processor, 512mb DDR RAM, 80gig HDD.
Windows is a fresh install from a virgin Windows XP Home SP3 cd, no modifications etc. Drivers are all latest from both dell and epson.

Printing can some time go on for 8 pages then just stop, other times it does 1 then stops. By stops i mean does half a page then nothing..

I hope thats all the information you require.
