Clear HP Laser Jet 3100 printer jam

I purchased and installed your multiple sheet printer jam kit for the Laser Jet 3100. (Wonderful install video. No way I could have done it otherwise.) The kit helped but the printer still feeds multiple sheets once in awhile. The last time it did this, I had a jam at the paper feed port and another at the lower output port. I was easily able to clear the jam at the feed port but the paper just tore at the output rollers and I am no longer able to grasp it either before or after the output rollers. Is there any easy way to clear this jam or does the printer have to be disassembled?

You probably didn't push the green lever before removing the jam.

You'll have to take it apart now.

Parts of the fuser can be damaged easily, so resist the temptation to stick something into the printer to try and get the paper out.

Thanks for the warning. Yes I forgot to push the green lever. I have a copy of the service manual. I assume removal of the fuser assembly will allow me to clear the jam.

If the paper is stuck at the output rollers, then it is under the fuser hot roller.

If you remove the hot roller, (heating assembly), then the paper can be removed easily.
