DeskJet 990cxi skew
This seems like alot compared to other inkjet printers I have used. Is there an adjustment that I could do? I have worked on various other inkjets but don't want to attempt it unless I know exactly what to do, since it is new. The printer manual specs. .012in/in, which it is within, but I would like it better.
TIA for any info.
So, just to satisfy my curiosity, I went to the local Staples and Office Max today. Sure enough, every HP 900 series printer with one exception did the same thing. You can really see it if you hold down the printer's power key and then press the form-feed button 8 times. (It prints out nothing but the character "H" and fills the page with them... you'll see what I'm talking about when you look at the page.) The only exception was an HP 932C... the one at Office Max was crooked, but the one at Staples appeared (to me at least) to be straight.
Since I noticed this problem, I've heard from others who've suggested that this is a long-standing and fairly well-known characteristic of HP 9xx series printers. I'll probably just end up keeping my latest 990C at this stage... I'm tired of exchanging them for the same problem. It's probably only noticeable to people like me (that is, anal-retentive, obsessive-compulsive types) and a few others.
If anyone has any idea regarding a minor adjustment that one could try, please post.
