Apple Laserwriter Pro 600 with 500-sheet feeder

My beloved Apple Laserwriter Pro 600 with 500-sheet feeder was purchased new in 1993 and has printed about 47,000 pages.

I have purchased your kits several times to keep it going.

What is bedeviling me these days is that paper feeds extremely unreliably from the 500-sheet tray (no problem with paper being fed from the much less used standard 250-sheet tray).

I diddle with the spring-tension green knob on the 500-sheet tray, but 19 times out of 20 either the paper fails to flow (usually resting atop the springy metal corner assembly) or it flows and stops (sheet easily cleared by removing 250-sheet tray).

I'm guessing that there's a problem with the rubberized thingies which pick up and flow the paper and that some may either need replacing or perhaps rubber rejuvenation.

I'd appreciate guidance on solving this problem.

Thank you.
I've got some pickup rollers for the HP4 500 sheet feeder. They are probably the same as the Apple roller, which shares the same Canon EX engine. If you want to try one, click on my name and send me an email. The rejuvenator would only work short term for that type of roller.
