Epson 600
I have one in which the cartridge empty light stays on even after the cartridge has been replaced by a new one. Hence, it will not print at all. Is it possible that the electronics is such that, after a certain number of replacements, it will not resume printing? Or, after a certain amount of ink has flowed through the heads? The previous owner of this printer had a habit of removing the cartridge and putting it back again if it misbehaved. The printer should not be worn out so yet, is there a method of resetting the 'counter' so it can resume printing again?
3 things to do
1.hold down load eject until carriage moves across, change ink, press load eject.
2.check silver contact is coming out far enough from p/head unit to be pushed back in by ink cart.
3.buy new mainboard or even printer as its probably cheaper.
