Apple LaserWriter Pro 630 toner bands

I've used your kits to fix this machine a few years ago, they worked great, thanks :-)

I have an older LW Pro 630. Page output recently has developed two broad bands of toner smudge, one about 1.5 inches wide, 1 inch in from the left margin, and another about 3 inches wide, 1 inch in from the right margin. I noticed there is toner on the drum. I tried printing the generic apple "printer cleaning" page several times and that has lightened the bands. Not sure if I should try manually cleaning the toner off the drum...

I am hoping that a new toner cartridge will fully resolve the problem, but could there be something else going on that I should investigate?

Also second concern:
There is some black dust on the case near the fan vents.
Is my power supply dying? Something else?

Thanks for your help!
Here's a heckuva deal on a brand new OEM toner cartridge http://www.fixyourownprinter.com/specials/toner/hp/S206
Don't worry about the dust.

HI Moe,

Thanks! I just placed the order :-) Do you want the empty cartridge back for remanufacturing? - Anonymous
No thanks, take it to Office Depot and get a $3 coupon for it.
