Hp HP Color LaserJet 1500

printer realignment, HP PSC 1500 series

everytime i use my turn my printer on it realigns itself: it prints a sheet of the different colors to adjust, i guess the printing. is there something i can do to keep this from happening automatically, or should i leave my printer on 24/7. i really would appreciate any input. thanks, richard
Dear Mr. Richard,
I think you are facing problem is each time switch ON the MFP, the unit print an alignment sheet. To solve this problem, just take the alignment sheet print out ( I mean the alignment sheet will get ,while you switch ON the machine) and place it on the top of your Scanner Unit . Then just press the scan button and allow the machine to perform scan action. After scanning your alignment document the unit will come to the ready mode. At this stage most probably your problem will be solved. Please test again the unit after the scan action ( switch OFF and Switch ON). Let me know the problem persists.
Thanks ,

Yes, it worked. I guess I should have read the instructions better. When I put turned the printer on, a pop-up came on telling me exactly what you recommended. Thank you very much for your help. - Anonymous
Dear Sunu,
Following your advise to Richard, I face the same problem and the aligning process does not work. Each time I operate the printer it prints the align page, then it prints properly although the alignining is not confirmed.
Please note that I do not use the color cartridge which is empty!
I would appriciate your help.

Part of the alignment process involves using the color cartridge. If it is empty the printer will never pass alignment.
