Regarding the head replacement. I need to replace the black head in my epson 3000. What is the market setting code? Is it EAI? The program I download is Scseries.exe. What is the best operating system to run in it. I have window XP. Does the command prompt will work on this? - jcsports
Hamish you could a few printed head test to try to unclog it or if that doesn't work you try buy a cleaning kit from www.fixyourownprinter.com

Hi,

I am 99\% sure the Epson 3000 utilizes the same heads that are in the Epson Stylus 800 which are cheap when found on eBay. With a little cleaning fluid, you should be able to unclog the head while in the 800 before removal and install into the 3000.

You have to run the program in MS-DOS 6.8 or higher (I think that's the version), not from DOS prompt. Must boost from DOS directly. Usually a older machine will able to do that. - Anonymous
