LW Select 360 streaking

I have an Apple Laserwriter Select 360 that 'prints' a faint streak about a quarter-inch wide down the center of every page and another faint streak down the left side of the page.

In what I believe is the fuser (on the top where the paper exits) are what I will refer to as 'rollers'. These two 'rollers' are brown in color and there appears to be toner embedded in the surface of the lower 'roller' where these streaks occur.

Can this embedded toner (or whatever it is) be cleaned off the 'roller'? If so, what is the proper technique?

Thanks,
old John
The upper roller is the heat roller. The lower roller is a rubber pressure roller. If the toner is on the lower roller, it would show up on the back of the paper. Your problem is more than likely with the toner cartridge. If you look at the drum surface, you'll probably see the streaks that are showing up on the paper.

I can see these lines on MY drum, precisely where the lines are on everything I print.

Does this mean I need a new toner cartridge?

This one is not very old, but has not been used regularly.

Thanks,
