I have a Laserwriter IIf that has been working fine until we recently replaced the toner cartridge. Now the printer makes a rapid clicking noise when starting up and when printing and then jams. After the jam, the paper is clearly visible inside the printer with the top edge at the fuser(?) assembly (green top unit that paper goes through right before coming out of printer). I have installed your paper feed kit today with no change in symptoms. Thoughts? Ideas? Thanks in advance. ED
Sounds like a bad 14 tooth gear. It's contained in our rear exit jam kit which replaces all the gears that wear in the exit path.
I would like to purchase the rear exit jam kit, but do not see it listed for the Laserwriter II. Is the HP II kit compatible? Thanks, Ed
OOPS! It should have been listed under Apple II exit jam kit. I'll make the webmaster aware of it. The HPII/III is the same kit since they share the same Canon SX engine.
