Epson Stylus 740: still clogged after solvent...

Hi... I bought the special solvent here for my inkjet and tried it out both on the park-pad and with the more serious inject thru ports method and neither worked. I still have clogged heads. The test print-out gives randomly clogged markings, however---if that's relevant. Seems a bit odd to me that the clogging changes.

Also, I finally got low ink readings after my dozens of clean-pages and I replaced the carts with new ones (not refills, Amazon brand). They worked fine at first! --But clogged up in a day or so.

Can you take carts on and off to do things like the syringe cleaning---I'm guessing that you can but who knows maybe new carts shouldn't be removed then reinstalled.

I found the French translated dismantling website that walks you thru taking apart the heads for a direct manual clean. That seems like my next step. But I wanted to check in here first! Any advice?

Thanks! JP
