hp 4si burning paper?

Lately, everything I print looks like I've been holding a match up to the paper. It prints clearly, but the paper itself looks darkened. Any ideas?
You can do a half self test on the printer to isolate the problem.

The purpose of the test is to see what the page looks like before it goes through the fuser.

Print a page and feed from the priority feed on top of the paper tray.

When the paper has fed almost all the way in to the printer pop open the top cover to stop the printing process.

Open the printer and inspect the page, if the problem is visible before fusing, then the problem is being caused by the toner cartridge.
