Hp HP LaserJet 4M

Hp laserjet 4M paper jam 13 error

I just installed the exit jam repair kit the paper made an accordion fold near the bottom of the page after installing the exit jam repair kit now i get a paper jam 13 error now half the paper has accordion folds.the paper makes it past the lower roller by a half inch then jams.
Watch the top exit roller from the front of the printer as the paper is feeding. Is it turning smoothly, or stopping and starting?

That would narrow it down to the fuser exit sensor. You probably broke the pivot peg on the exit guide assy. when you removed the fuser. The flag on top tends to hang up on the frame if you're not careful, causing the peg to snap. You can see it in this photo http://www.fixyourownprinter.com/reference/guides/sensors/ex
If you wiggle the flag side to sie, you should see the end that sits on the peg rotate smoothly. If it wobbles, then the peg is broken.

Okay i am not sure what you mean let me give it a shot i am looking at the first photo as i look in that hole i see the silver metal roller.outside to the right i see what i believe to be the pivot peg or flag it is plastic and black in color looks like best way i can describe it looks like a miniature hatchet that piece i don't see anything broken on it.i wiggled the piece that looks like a minature hatchet from side to side left to right no problem but if i lift up sightly on it at the same time it has a wobble.i can push the peg or flag back and forth no problem but if i slightly raise up on it at the same time there is a wobble i am sorry if i don't seem to know what you mean, but it is the best way i can describe it.also the spring in the second photo looks just like mine no problem there.this laserjet 4 was given to me with this paper jam problem they did not want to spend any money on it they have two more laserjet4 printers.
