HP 5MP: white streaks

HP 5MP white streaks.

At first I thought it was the ink cartridge running low, and I purchased a new one. But the white streaks still remain on the pages. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I am also having trouble figuring out how to remove the plastic cover to look for tape or other materials blocking the inking or printing process.

Please someone help me.
White streaks are usually due to toner dust on the mirror or optics of the laser/scanner.

The little brush is for cleaning the mirror.

Where is the beam drum located. there must be some tape or blockage or other interference on it?

It's so simple, but not obvious.

Is your printer working now?
