HP OfficeJet 600 System Error 3407

Hi, I hope you can help me fix my HP OfficeJet 600 5-in-1 printer. It all started when I got a paper jam when printing a document. I cleared the jam, then turned the printer off and back on. I tried to print the document again, but before the paper was even fed in, I got a System Error 3407, followed by instructions to clear the jam. I've retried this numerous times, even with the paper holder off the machine and it starts by saying set time and date (which I ignore) followed by a clunking noise as soon as the cartridges get all the way to the right and it just freezes there. A troubleshooting message showed up on my monitor saying to clean the small white rollers (which I did) but I'm still getting the same error code and paper jam message. Can you help? Thanks in advance.

My approach to that model is to clean the encoder strip with water.

Lubricate the carriage rail with synthelic oil, just a few drops, then wipe it off, and add a few more.

If it's a feed problem I clean the rollers.

If that doesn't fix it it's time for a new machine.

Once upon a time I used to order new engines, (insides), for them, but that got to be too expensive.

Thanks. I'll give it a try and let you know how it turns out.

I cleaned all the rollers and lubricated the carriage rail and it still didn't work. So I uninstalled all the HP programs and reinstalled them and it still won't work. I've wasted enough time on this thing and it's time to deep six it.

Thanks for your help though. I appreciate it.
