HP Laserjet 1300 problem

Hello to all... I have a 1300 laserjet printer, when I "ON" it, all of the lights rotate first and stops leaving all 3 lights ON. I press the GO button to see the secondary error message of it, the two lights turned off except for the jam light. Can anyone help me with my printers problem...
If only the bottom left light is left on solid, then you have a engine to formatter communication issue. You can try to reseat the cable between the formatter and the engine control unit. If that does not help then the next step is to replace the formatter followed by the engine control unit.

Thanks for the reply dmz..., by the way, I forgot to tell you guys that before I encounter that problem, there are times when I switch ON the printer, it initializes and then the jam light flashes. I checked if there are jam paper but theres nothing. Then I inserted the toner cartridge and closed the door and after that i heard the motor runs and it came back to normal. Out of curiosity, I tried to removed the toner cartridge again to see if it will not go back to that flashing jam light. but after I removed and inserted again, the jam light came on flashing again. So our remedy if we encounter that flashing jam light, we removed the toner cartridge and insert it back again until it becomes normal. But now, I have a bigger problem, and thats the 3 solid lights.

The jam light also flashes if there is no paper, toner or the door is open.

If jam or door open the motor will not turn.
If toner missing or paper out motor turns.

To Georged:

if the bottom light is flashing, you don't have a fatal error. you have a paper jam, or no toner installed, or no paper installed. good luck.

a fatal error occurs when you turn on the printer, and all 3 lights light up solid. by pressing the GO button, you would see the secondary error code. if i misread what you wrote, advise, and i'll check it again. thanks.
