Epson Epson Stylus CX5400

Epson CX5400 no longer printing

I did the repair cleaning kit, and it printed about 70\% of what you would want, some streaking etc. I did it again, and then nothing printed. I looked at the purge tube and that looks good, but did not use a needle on the syring as I don't have one. (Would a pharamcy provide this?)

A few questions:
Is it possible that the PAD where the ink jet heads are cleaned is so clogged that when trying to be cleaned, the ink puddles and blocks the jets and re-clogs them?

Would the needle in purge tube cleaning really still be worth while?

How much does it cost to have some one do this?

Thanks,
Michael

You can use a needle, Paper clip, Wire or whatever else you can find. The whole point is to remove the clog in the tube. So whatever you can find that is small enough and strong enough should be fine.

Also you want to remove the clog not just poke a hole in it. So keep that in mind as well. Once you have a fair ammount of the clog cleared you can use hot water and asyringe to help complere the process.
